ICT Assessment
Information Communication Technology Assessment went well! I had a scheduled appointment with Dr. Gatin this morning on Skype (map); it involved sharing my full screen while he observed and directed me as I browsed from my blog to my wiki. This assessment completes the course "Using Technology & Computers in Education (EY/MY)."

Me & You Tube...!
So the task of the day was to create a you tube account and then broadcast a spliced video which is an edited version of two or more videos.

jing
A fantastic way to capture videos, images and sounds on your computer. Jing is a perfect example to use for visual and audio learners, for instance in math or social studies. When demonstrating steps to an algebra equation, jing could be the perfect tool to use.

podcasts and podbeans
A couple of more downloads today. Very useful stuff! These would be handy to use as teachers and students because they can record and replay information relating to lessons/lectures and presentations.
Interesting!
Learning one thing after another! Exactly how learning should be! Things need to be interesting to motivate some children to learn and using technology (especially computers) can do just that. I am intrigued by this course as a student and future educator because of the tools introduced to help accomodate differentiated instruction/learning.

Wikispaces
Created my wikispaces address and added the first page which is still really bare. In time I hope to have it looking a little more appealing. We'll see.

Contributed to mindmeister
I managed to add my name to the map plus a couple of links! I also started my own and sent it out to a few people, hoping it works.
Thanks classmates for keeping in touch with emails and messages while I have been away! See you soon!

What Was Monday Morning...
is now Monday afternoon and my blog is finally working!! Although I was away today, I felt connected to the group by communicating with Glenda on Skype where we talked for a couple of minutes, plus I sent mary, nadine, craig and glen messages. I also recieved Google documents from Cynthia, David and Glen, and I look forward to learning more about that when I get back on Wednesday!

Discovering Google
Essentially every person will need to know basic computer skills and I couldn't have asked for a better class to help me understanding just that. A week has gone by and my knowledge of computers have grown so much; especially through Google.
Google was the place to browse topics, images and videos. Never, did I expect this from Google; Reader and Blogger. Google reader helps to organize personal information and a blogger helps to express an individual's ideas and their creativity.
A blogger can be an effective tool to use for students as an online journal, because typing and editing is a lot faster than writing and erasing!

Something New...Someting Fun!
Skype!
Learning something new everyday can be fun. This is a massive move forward when comparing the use of communicating information through technology. No more pen pals for students, introduce them to skype.
